David took a 1/2 day to work with Dad Slighter on the kitchen. Lisa also gave a hand once she got home. We were able to layout and get a good portion of the backspalsh installed. Take a look at the pictures and tell us what you think. There's an end in sight finally! Here you go.
Lisa's Dad is in town for the week. He's taking a class over at Calvin. This is great, we get to see him for a week and get cheap labor :) We've already put him to work helping us get the sink put in place. There's still a good bit of work left on the countertop, but things are coming together. Now that the sink is in we can actually use the dishwasher. We heard two very beautiful noises this weekend, that of the dishwasher running and of a garbage disposal chewing stuff up. Take a look at the progress.
So, last night David tried to put the new stove in place and when we slided it back we had a horrible realization. The cabinets were to close and the stove wouldn't fit. To say the least we weren't thrilled. David called the cabinet installers who were going to come back and hook-up the dishwasher and they said that they'd fix the cabinets. So, today they came to do the work. Lisa wasn't feeling much like herself and David was a big meanie when he kicked her out of the house to go to her Body Pump class at the gym. When she got home the stove fit, the dishwasher was in place and the installers were gone. Lisa was in a much better mode now. Now if we could only get the sink installed we could actually do some dishes :) Here are the pictures of the countertop and appliances in place.
